1 MRI-guided focused ultrasound tumor therapeutic system MRI examination is widely accepted as a monitoring & guiding method for its noninvasive temperature measurement and anatomical imaging of tissues. Combining these advantages and ultrasound ablation, we developed this MR guided HIFU therapeutic system. This cost-effective product could be as well provided without its accompanying MR scanner at an even lower price for the benefit of those hospitals that have already installed their own MR system. This design has passed its MR compatibility test and been registered in July, 2007. Currently we have finished its prototype and the clinical trial is underway. We are expecting to introduce this product to the market by the end of 2009.
2. Model-CZB Ultrasound Therapeutic Device for Rhinitis Over the past few years, the incidence of allergic rhinitis has been steadily increasing. To date, the global morbidity rate has reached 10-25% and China alone has more than 40 million patients. In Beijing, the number of people suffering from allergic rhinitis is over 4 million, which is approximately 1/3 of the population of this city. Being concerned about this issue, we have developed “Model-CZB Ultrasound Therapeutic Device for Rhinitis” to provide those patients a novel therapy for the disease. This product, which was approved by SFDA and received Chongqing Hi-tech product certification, is avalibale in market since 2007.
3. HIFU Telemedicine System Our HIFU telemedicine system, focusing on the actual medical applications of HIFU, delivers expert-based health care and consultation to the sites where Haifu tumor therapeutic systems are installed. This system allows transmission of real time data (such as vital biosignals, images and video signals) through the internet and telecommunication network. Using this system, our doctors or specialists can telematically “move” to the remote site and instruct unspecialized personnel to perform diagnosis, treatment as well as device inspection and maintenance. These information, experience and knowledge interchanged are stored and managed in the multimedia database for the purpose of global sharing.
4. Ultrasound Therapeutic Device for Soft Tissue Injury Chronic soft tissue injury is listed as one of the most complicated diseases by World Health Organization. Taking this challenge, we developed Ultrasound Therapeutic Device for Soft Tissue Injury to provide a safe, effective and environmental friendly treatment. This product has great potential of improvement and its wide application could bring both economic and social benefit in future.
