National engineering research center was established in October,2005, which is the only national engineering research center approved by National Development and Reform Commission of China in the field of digital medical device. It was an independent legal man funded by Chongqing Haifu(HIFU) Technology Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Medical University.
We take digital medicine and ultrasound engineering as our strategic area of development, highlighted by developing ultrasound devices, aiming at being the transformation base of technological R&D and engineering.
Our research trends include ultrasonic therapy monitored by ultrasound, ultrasonic therapy monitored by MRI, ultrasonic treatment for non-neoplastic diseases, preparation used to change acoustic environment, physical therapy of ultrasound, ultrasonic cosmetology, military medical application of ultrasound, etc. meanwhile, we are also dedicated to refining the service platforms for basic R&D, engineering, clinical medicine, technological transformation and accreditation. We have an excellent talent team composed of more than 100 elites who are from 30 renowned universities and research institutes, specialized in more than 20 disciplines, highlighted by the talent superiority of multi-discipline cross and closely combination of medicine and engineering.
So far, our transformed cases include high-intensity focused ultrasound therapeutic system guided by MRI, Model-CZB ultrasound Therapeutic Device for Rhinitis, ultrasound physical therapeutic device, etc. There are more than 10 cases undergoing transformation and to be transformed. We have applied for more than more than 200 invention patents, including 12 international authorized patents and 28 domestic authorized patents.
Depending on Chongqing medical university and its affiliated hospital and Haifu, we have established an innovational system integrated of manufacturing, education and research, composed of the complete talent culturing system practiced by biomedical engineering department in Chongqing medical university, Chongqing key laboratory of biomedical engineering(co-founded by Chongqing and MOST)， the Clinical Center for Tumor Therapy in second affiliated hospital of Chongqing medical university (the only clinical center of ultrasound ablation approved by ministry of health).
